The Role :
We are currently looking for an experienced Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.
The role is based in Bahrain, and the applicant should be currently based in Bahrain.
Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
Prepare financial statements according to schedule
Administration of payments to Vendors.
Responsible for payroll processing
Data verification and entry to ensure accurate and timely monthly processing of remuneration payments to employees
Prepare and process final settlement of employees
Handle and resolve all queries / issues related to compensation and benefits
Monitor and interpret cash flows
Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
Lead month-end and year-end close process
Ensure compliance with Accounting principles
Liaise with our London HQ (when needed) to improve financial procedures
Required Experience :
4+ years of Finance / Accounting Experience either within Practice or Industry
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
Experience using XERO accounting software is preferred
Familiarity with financial accounting statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end / year-end close process
Hands-on experience with accounting software packages
Advanced MS Excel skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
