The Leadership & Management Centre is seeking a Full-Time Senior Lecturer in the field of Human Resources / CIPD.

Main duties will involve designing, developing and delivering a range of introductory to advance level programs of teaching / training to BIBF learners.

In addition to preparing, reviewing learning materials and evaluating the progress of BIBF corporate clients & individuals against the learning objectives of the programs.

Academic Qualifications :

  • Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent
  • Membership of a relevant professional body is preferred such as : CIPD, SHRM, ILM, CMI
  • Ideally minimum - years current industry experience preferably in the Human Resources Sector
  • Ability to teach and manage the CIPD Level , and syllabus / modules is required
  • Main Duties and Responsibilities :

    Teaching / Training

  • Teach and manage learning activities on a range of courses provided by the BIBF and associated subjects
  • Participate in administration, designing and marking of exams and other assessments
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of learners progress, achievement and attendance and provide feedback to learners and Training Managers as required
  • Develop and apply innovative and appropriate teaching / training techniques and materials that create interest, understanding and enthusiasm amongst learners
  • CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT

  • Support the planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum; manage and monitor the quality and relevance of course content and methods of delivery
  • Develop new courses or modules, individually and / or consortially taught, and participate in ongoing development of aspects of course structure, delivery, assessment, etc.
  • Review syllabus, textbooks, course materials, manuals, lecture notes, handouts, visual and other aids; document and record the course contents in alignment with BIBF’s policies and procedures
  • Ensure that course design and delivery comply with the quality standards and regulations of the Institute and Centre
  • Coordinate and liaise with partner organizations for any updates / queries regarding the course content and certification standards, BIBF visits etc.
  • PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

  • Deliver the allocated programs (standard, professional, customized and / or academic) courses
  • Follow up with learners for any course submissions, case study analysis, assessment reports, etc. Assigned to them as a part of the course / program requirement;
  • verify and assess / grade all submissions

  • Provide assignment guidance, feedback and assess assignment submissions to accredited professional bodies.
  • Supervise the day-to-day management of the programs, liaise and maintain regular contact with partner organizations
  • INTERNAL VERIFICATION

  • Act as an Assessor or internal verifier, if appropriate; else identify assessors as required for the course
  • Participate in invigilation of exams as required
  • RESEARCH / PUBLICATION

  • Support the Centre’s research initiatives by supporting the Principal Lecturer in research programs and publications in key local and international journals (as required)
  • Assist research and publications in key regional and international journals and to other appropriate forms of research output
  • Contribute to the development of the Centre by participating in research teams or other collaborative research initiatives-departmental and / or inter-departmental
  • Provide support to BIBF research programs and publications in key local and international journals and to other appropriate forms of research output
  • OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide learners guidance and counseling; assist learners in their career shaping and development
  • Work on ad-hoc consultancy projects

  • Planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Proven record of ability to conduct high quality research which is reflected in the authorship of high quality publications, or other research outputs
  • Ability to teach and to supervise learners of various calibre
  • Strong English and / or Arabic language skills (written and spoken)

    Remuneration : Basic , / month

    Hours : Full-Time

    Contract Type : Fixed Term
