About the job

An opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader, Valet Driver to join the Transport team in Jumeirah Royal Saray Bahrain. The main duties and responsibilities of this role :

  • Monitors and maintains accurately all vehicles insurance papers, registration cards, Petrol’s card, parking cards and other legal permits.
  • Maintains accurate administrative records to plan maintenance
  • To issue a monthly summary of all expenses for the fleet paper renewals
  • To issue a monthly fuel cost
  • Maintain a diary for car maintenance and official paper renewals
  • Prepare purchase requests through the system and follow up the Local Purchase Order and Invoices
  • Keep a record of all training
  • Ensures that all the official letters are posted on a daily basis
  • Ensures that all cars are well maintained at all times
  • Ensures that all maintenance records are kept up to date
  • Ensures that all hotel vehicles are cleaned at all times
  • Monitors and controls the usage and stock of cleaning equipment
  • Makes sure that traffic charges are cleared by the drivers at all times
  • Provide a courteous and professional service at all times
  • Identifies and anticipates guest’s needs and requirements as according to the company mission statement
  • Closely monitors performance of all drivers and car washed to ensure safety of vehicles and guests is maximized
  • To ensure a smooth transportation operation to exceed standards
  • Handling all the requests professionally and be well aware of the cars availability
  • Confirm all the transportation requests as per the department standard
  • To ensure that all documents are correctly signed or approved by authorized management
  • To ensure that all cars maintenance are properly planed and recorded
  • Monitors fleet maintenance record correctly at all times
  • Monitors repair timing is reported
  • Has a complete understanding of and adhere to the hotel policy relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety
  • Maintains a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
  • Responds to the changes in the departmental function as dedicated by the hotel or senior management
  • Strives to maximize profit in the transportation department at all times
  • Ensure the costs and maintenance expenses are kept as low as possible
  • Keep outside transportation as low as possible
  • Ensure the correct handling and submission of the Paid Out
  • Ensure that invoices are accurate
  • Carrying out appraisals of drivers and car washers
  • To provide some feedback to the management on the drives and car washes performance
  • Identify any area of improvements for colleagues
  • To organize and plan trainings for drivers and car washers
  • To provide training to new colleagues and ensure good knowledge of hotel procedures
  • To ensure the correct timekeeping of the team
  • Works closely with management and subordinates and takes on duty as instructed by concierge
  • Pass on any comments to Management
  • To plan and ensure the attendance for the monthly meeting
  • To liaise with the other team leaders to inform them about the cars availability
  • To inform the other departments when the car availability is becoming tight
  • To ensure that email correspondence is being done in a timely manner and all email are answered within the day
  • To handle any telephone calls (national and international) and guest requests are being handled in a timely manner
  • Qualifications

    About you : The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications :

  • Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate
  • At least 2 years experience in a 5
  • or 4
  • hotel with preferable knowledge of Bahrain roads or having completed a cross training.
