Job Specific tasks :
Manages overall operations of recreation and fitness department.
Develops and implements guidelines and checklists for quality assurance and control in health and fitness programs.
Assisting in hires, trains and monitors development of recreation staff,
Assisting in developing and managing operating budget.
Makes recommendations for major equipment purchases and capital improvements.
Create and coordinates all promotional plans, marketing projects and public relations efforts.
Ensures quality and safety for all areas of service and facility. Ensure safety usage of all equipments and materials at all time.
Daily check their impeccable performance. Continuously maintain and service all equipment related, or assigned, to the department, as specified in equipment manuals.
Compiles data for and prepares required records and routine, statistical and / or technical reports.
Implement Fitness programs & assessment procedures.
Create and organize duty roaster, maintaining always a permanent working program.
Monitors all revenue and expenditures in areas of supervision and prepares all requested reports and estimates; prepares billing invoices, purchase requisitions and check requests
Search for new sources of revenue and maximize the revenue for the existing services.
Solicits business support and sponsorships for programs and events.
Plans, coordinates and executes special events. Related duties include coordinating staffing and planning event logistics.
Attends events to provide supervision and assistance. Evaluates events for effectiveness and value to the recreation program.
Attends all meetings and trainings set by the management and be involved in other activities that may occur in special conditions.
Is responsible for keeping professional secrecy and responsibility for the preservation and transmission of any kind of information that come in contact (faxes, identity cards or documents clients, correspondence, registration cards etc.
It is not allowed to transmit information to guests or associates.
To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the industry, brand or hotel.
To be flexible and to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments / areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs
To ensure that the Department's operational budget is strictly adhered to and that all costs are controlled and expenditures approved
To be flexible with work hours.
To be fully conversant with first aid.
To ensure that all employees provide a friendly, courteous and professional service at all times
To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the industry, brand or hotel
To be familiar with the hotel’s alarm system, emergency plans and procedures for lost and found items.
To comply with safety regulations and procedures, and ensure that all team guests of the hotel observe safety precautions and use safety equipment.
Alerts the Chief Security Officer / Duty Manager / Manager on Duty / Resident Manager / General Manager on any emergency at the Recreation Area and Kids Club.
To be available in front of the guests and colleagues, to serve as an example for the other employees.
To ensure rosters are posted and timesheets are submitted on time.
To ensure that all employees are treated fairly and consistently as outlined in their terms and conditions of employment, local legislation, and company / hotel policies and procedures.
To undertake duties of the Duty Manager as dictated by the Hotel’s Duty Managers Roster if and when needed.
