Job description

  • Manage and operate the telephones switch board and attending phone calls from staff, visitors, contractors and customers.
  • Maintain an updated list of staff telephone extensions, home and mobile numbers.
  • Make scheduled store intercom announcements.
  • Monitor the CCTV system to report any loss / theft & safety & security incident.
  • Monitor the general condition for the store all the time to make sure its secure.
  • Monitor the money delivery process to make sure it is safe and secure. Wherever the CCTV coverage is applicable.
  • Register, log and report all the operations and incidents, and archive them in their proper files.
  • Investigate about any unusual condition (cars or customers).
  • Manage and operate the paging system, paging the staff as and when required.
  • Responsible for security and monitoring the traffic at the staff entrance allowing only staff members, commercial customers and authorized persons to go through.
  • Ensure that the established security procedure for opening and closing the store is completed as scheduled.
  • Keep set of keys for all the doors with locks in the premises
  • Observe safety procedure and maintains good order in his / her work area.
  • Conduct safety rounds around the store during your shifts to check safety and emergency equipment.
  • Preserve and demonstrate proper use of store facilities and equipment.
  • Management of the fire alarm system.
  • Take responsibility for / participate in projects and other tasks within the Health Safety Security Environment function as assigned.
  • Perform other clerical duties such as filing, data entry, maintaining daily logs, preparing incident reports, etc.
  • Display IKEA standards and value system in the behavior and appearance.
  • Control emergency situations and coordinate with concerned parties / legal authorities responsible.
  • Qualification

  • Must have solid verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Must have Health Safety Security Environment background
  • Bilingual Arabic / English communication skills are a plus.
  • Must have leadership skills and ability to react calmly and responsibly in emergency situations.
  • Resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues as and when they arise.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Previous call center / customer service experience is a plus.
