authorises leave and overtime;advises subordinates on job related problems; evaluates and ratesemployee performance.
Liaising with customersand other port users the Port Operations Superintendentis likely to liaise with other port users such as freightcustomers, shipping agents, customs, immigration, the HarbourAuthority and ships’ agents.
If the port’spassenger activities are overseen by a separate passengeroperations manager, there will be regular liaison between the two,as well as with the port manager above them.
