Ramada by Wyndham Manama City Centre is now seeking an HR Executive to join our team in Manama, Bahrain.

Job Summary

HR Executive will report directly to the HR Manager (HRM) of the property. He / She will provide a pro-active and supportive Human Resources service to all team members, upholding the hotel goals of employee engagement, guest satisfaction, casting KPI’s with specific responsibility for the housing and all Human Resources Key Performance indicators of recruitment, retention and administering effective flow of documentation relating to the team members.

He / She will follow the established communication and reporting tool for all defects in all staff housing areas and also ensure a proactive approach to maintaining the properties and all fixed and unfixed furnishings in all the rooms, public areas and in the accommodation.

Admin Duties

  • Be the first point of contact for all team members enquiries, assist them with their queries and provide them with the help that they are looking for
  • Follow-up that the help was well received and the documents etc. that they required we received in a timely manner
  • Take personal responsibility for ensuring effective flow of all administration including not limited to team members certificates, file notes, payroll (in absence of HR executive), departmental signature folders, bank letters, opening of new bank accounts.
  • Take personal responsibility for ensuring that team members’ personnel files are up-to-date at all times in conjunction with the HRM.
  • Ensure that up-to-date, correct contact details are recorded in the HR system for all team members at all times, including email and mobile numbers.
  • Actively update this information weekly.

  • Ensure that team members receive their requested documents within short period of time (3days) from the request. This is including but not limited to Bank letters, visa letters and salary letters.
  • Handle the joiners process for all team members
  • Accommodation Duties

  • Supervise the day to day operations of the housing team to ensure compliance with all SOPs, standards and aiming satisfying and exceeding team member expectations.
  • Supervise the work of housing attendants and technicians to ensure they perform their duties up to standards and to the satisfaction of team members.
  • Constantly inspect accommodation in public and private areas and storage areas through scheduled inspections and walkthrough to ensure they are clean, well maintained and meet all hygiene, health and safety regulations.
  • Take full ownership for the welcome of new team members by arranging their accommodations so that it is ready to be lived in upon their arrival.
  • Ensure that the inventory of the accommodation when employees move in and upon their transfer / departure is being done, recorded and filed for future reference.
  • Ensure that all staff is fully aware of the reporting processes and that no other means of reporting defects are deviated to.
  • Report on any cleanliness, maintenance or behavioural issues taking place at the accommodation and / or other areas of housing that require further investigation and / or disciplinary proceeding with HRM on daily bases.
  • Participate in the budget process by establishing the list of CAPEX items needed to upkeep the Staff Accommodation.

    Other Duties

  • Administer team member birthday celebrations including birthday cards, gift, daily and monthly announcements.
  • Arranging and communicating the monthly awards and setting up voting
  • Manage HR notice-boards daily and ensure they display current and relevant information.
  • Proactively engage and bond with team members in all departments and use the information to come up with innovative and effective ideas for associate relations, retention and benefits.
  • Ensure all team members files are kept up-to-date at all times and that filing is done weekly in order to comply with the HR standards.
  • Monitor and ensure that all office suppliers are ordered in a timely manner.
  • Take fill ownership for all flight bookings for vacations. Ensure cost effective tickets are secured and hotel resources are not wasted.
  • Ensure that 3 quotes are sourced for all flight being booked by the hotel.
  • In situations where a team member is required to pay a difference / or for extras ensure that the payments are done to the General Cashier prior to releasing the ticket or the necessary documentation is completed.
  • Minimum Experience

  • 2 to 3 years experiences in a similar role in the hotel field
  • Demonstrate Attention to detail
  • Strong Administration and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural team
  • Proficiency using with computer
  • Familiar with the Bahrain labor law.
  • Applicant must be based in Bahrain.
