Deliver value by providing professional responsibility for data collection, inspection and analysis. Identify the correct material requirement based on sound analysis and judgment.
The candidate is responsible to ensure all the important parts have been included by the Supplier / Vendor in the Spare Parts and Interchangeability List (SPIL), the Candidate should have the ability to challenge the recommended spare parts quantity level to assure the availability of important spares are guaranteed.
Key Result Areas
Have experience in recognizing common failure in online Analysers, based on exposure and experience of wide range of Analysers
Have maintained both hardware / software components on process Analyser systems
Have worked in the sampling System and able to differentiate the necessary parts, based on experience and knowledge.
Have worked on Gas Systems, to ensure the right parts are considered in the SPIL’s
Have good knowledge on Environment, occupational health and safety regulations.
Have the ability to read and understand Manufacturer drawing, catalogue data and operating / service instructions manual to verify the recommended parts by the supplier
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The position requires performing and managing activities involved in the purchase of materials as per the Company procedures and method.
Effectively plan and monitor purchase in conformance to the project requirement with in time, cost and quality.
The candidate is responsible for complying with all safety aspects associated with working in a Refinery environment.
Communicate effectively and accurately on a daily basis with Contractor and stakeholder’s team members.
Checking and verification of interchangeability of spare parts.
Receives direction and support where required from Analyser Engineer, especially in areas outside his experience to obtain approval.
Where he has ideas to improve the performance of SPIL review and setup, he has to discuss this with line Engineer prior to implementation of the ideas.
Ensure all spare parts that Vendor is supplying are listed with adequate information, such as (Part description, Material construction, Original Equipment Manufacturer, Model, Recommended Quantity and Price) in the SPIL
Follow up of process from issue of purchase order, delivery of material, and acceptance of material
To work with all Commissioning disciplines to ensure understanding of total Commissioning schedule needs.
Knowledge Skills and Experience
Good written and oral communication skills in English.
Procurement / strategic and sourcing data analysis background
Have a good practical knowledge of on-line analysers including the following types :
Colour, Conductivity, Dissolved Oxygen, Flashpoint, Total Sulphur
Fixed Gas Detection (H2S, LEL, CL2),
Flue Gas Monitor, FTNIR, Gas Chromatographs, Moisture, pH, Photometers (IR, UV), RVP, TOC,
Good understanding of microprocessor based technology.
Basic understanding of Computer Systems and knowledge of Software such as Microsoft Office.
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Petroleum process Plant, in a Maintenance role.
A minimum of 7 years’ experience in the maintenance of on-line Process Analysers, including sample conditioning equipment associated with Refinery applications.
Must have experience in systems related to Desalination, Utility, and Laboratory applications.
Must have exposure to one of the following systems : Drager, MSA, Crowcon, BW, BM25 gas detection systems.
University Diploma or equivalent (e.g., BTEC National Diploma or City and Guilds Level2).
