The Restaurant Supervisor will oversee the daily service operations in the Department and at busy times assist the team.
They will ensure superior customer service as well as manage a graceful customer journey experience. The Restaurant Supervisor will assign waiters and runners in cooperation with the management, take food and drink orders, answer customer questions, explain menu items and specials, ensures tables and dining areas are clean and set for new diners.
An important aspect is to maintain sanitation standards to achieve guest satisfaction.
Reporting to : Operations Manager
Supervise daily shift ensuring compliance of all service providers with policies, standards and procedures, including completion of assigned checklist and other duties.
Assists the managers with the opening and closing procedures of the restaurant, and ensuring final procedures with cash out, kitchen staff, lockdown etc. are completed.
Monitors the work of waiters and runners, observing their service behavior to provide feedback for performance improvement, whilst communicating a clear and consistent message regarding the departmental goals and participating in training as required.
Knowledgeably answers questions about menu items explaining how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods, makes food and beverages recommendations on request and informs customers of daily specials.
May assist waiters on the floor during periods of high demand; taking orders from guests for food and beverages as well as serving, accurately writing orders on slips, entering orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen.
Ensures that tables are ready for each sitting; that service areas are well stocked, tables laid and cleared and reset promptly according to standards, ensures cleaning schedules are followed and work areas are clean and sanitary.
Prepares accurate bills that itemize total meal costs and taxes, presents bills and collects payments from customers.
Ensure that guests’ meal experience is exemplary; monitoring their needs continuously, checking that their meals are satisfactory and taking action to solve problems through referral if necessary, to higher authority.
Answering the phone and collect accurate information for the guest’s request.
Serves beverages at correct temperature and in appropriate glasses, and according to department, pours wine for tasting and fills / replenishes glasses throughout the meal ensuring that service standards are met.

Minimum 2-3 years experience within Hospitality and Food & Beverage
At least 1-2 years experience in a Supervisor role
Must have experience in Customer service, food and beverage
Excellent knowledge of hygiene and sanitation requirements and food handling standards
Good knowledge of restaurant operational procedures and government regulations
Knowledge of Cold and hot beverages recipes and techniques
Culinary / beverage and wine knowledge if applicable
Excellent English skills written and spoken, Arabic a plus
Open to Eastern Europeans based anywhere
Salary / Compensation
Salary to be used as a guide only and will reflect experience levels and interview performance
Salary is up to 500 BHD per month base
