About the job
An opportunity has arisen for a Associate Director of Sales to join the Sales team in Jumeirah Royal Saray Bahrain.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role
Ensures that all colleagues in Corporate Sales are focused to achieve the corporate sales revenue goals for the hotel.
Provides on the job and external training for colleagues in the department as required
Is a strong leader and focus on revenue targets
Monitors and reviews conversion of all leads and throughout the conversion process.
Monnitors and reviews all contracts, to ensure that contracts are fulfilled and room blocks utilized as per the agreement.
To ensure that JET receives all enquries in the market for MICE / groups for 5 star luxury city hotel quotations.
Reviews available BEO’s to maximize on productivity and utilization of space.
Reviews business and finalize space usage. Yield management strategies should be in place for function room utilization.
Monitors attendance with space held.
Conducts weekly review with team members, focusing on achievement towards revenue targets.
Drives the weekly BOB meeting to ensure conversion and achievement of revenue goals for both C&E and rooms revenue (groups).
Maintain a current knowledge of Jumeirah products and services in order to cross sell and assist across the entire company.
Continuously review procedures and processes within the department to achieve maximum profit, productivity and efficiency.
Continuously review product and branding to ensure we are selling creatively and offering more innovative edge over our competitors.
To maintain a high standard of personal appearance at all times.
To ensure daily follow up of leads received from MeetingScope.
Liaises with relevant departments to ensure all customer needs and requests are met.
Constantly reviews actual group / function requirements.
Assists Sales Dept. giving site inspection to key decision makers.
Increases business revenue through new business or up selling.
Conducts monthly inventories of operating equipment
Conducts daily team briefings.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications
Degree in Hospitality Management
Excellent Communication and Written Skills
Strong sales skills
Experience in event planning and conversion
6 years and above in Conference and Banqueting Sales
Leadership roles for at least 2 years
5 Star Hotels
Corporate Hotel background preferred
Exposure to Arabic Market (Weddings / Government)
Sales business development experience
