Ensure that the Company’s operational and financial policies are set up and implemented with continuous follow up in compliance with required standards for finance, administration and operational (HSE, Logistics, Catering etc) best practice, and all activities controlled and correctly reported across a group of CSS operating countries, with the aim of enhancing performance.
Monitors performance against SOPs and KPIs and analyses material variances to detect the cause and implement corrective actions, with regular reports to management compliance committee.
Undertakes investigation and analysis when required to review transactions and documentation (for operations and finance) to ensure compliance.
Monitors team activities to ensure adherence to Company policies, procedures and financial manuals.
Review and ensure Compliance with company administration requirements across operations (Commercial registrations, Insurance cover, bank signatory lists etc).
Review and ensure Compliance with Labour Laws and HSE legislation as applicable in coordination with HR and HSE departments.
Ensuring Compliance with Tax & related regulatory requirements at the locations, tax planning.
Liaises with internal and external Auditors to facilitate and support audits, with follow up on findings, and pre-audit preparation and checks with local management.
Manages staff in accordance with the agreed policies of the company and handles all disciplinary matters and staff issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
Identifies staff development needs to meet business needs, and recommends appropriate training. Acts as a role model and coaches junior staff in the company values and behaviour.
Prepares and submits various daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports such as inventory reports, compliance reports etc.
Checks all reports prepared by staff for accuracy and ensures timely submission, providing content justification and explanation to Management when required.
Ensure that the Culture & Value programme is understood and the same is communicated to all staff to enable them to live up to all the values at all time.
Make recommendations for continual improvement and support improvement initiatives the company undertakes.
Skills and Qualifications :
Bachelors Degree in Commerce & or Accounting.
Professional Qualification in accounting like CA / CPA / CIMA / ACCA ideally also in Auditing.
Professional experience in Auditing and Compliance management.
Minimum 5 years work experience in managing an audit / compliance / cost control function in a service organization.
Highly numerate & methodical, with good attention to detail.
Analytical & able to conduct thorough investigations.
Appropriate & accurate consolidation of financial information.
Preparation of meaningful and accurate reports.
Negotiation and presentation skills.
PC proficient in Ms Office and related internal systems.
Written and spoken skills in French, English and Arabic.
Audit and compliance investigation procedures.
Inventory and stock control / food and beverage cost control.
Company and Finance Divisional Policies, Procedures & Objectives.
Knowledge of Tax Laws or the ability to rapidly acquire the knowledge of Local Tax Laws.
