  • Responsible for remittance settlement operations in adherence to the Company and regulatory policy and procedures.
  • Coordinate with correspondent banking partners to negotiate on best deals for the company.
  • Constantly monitor availability of funds with various partners and forecasts on cash flow.
  • Develop a pricing strategy around remittance for better revenue yield for the company.
  • Work closely with the finance team and support daily reconciliation activities of all types accounts.
  • Gather feedback from retail team on a regular basis and analyse customer trends at stores.
  • Gather regular feedback from Team Managers and Store Leaders to improve Remittance Support functions.
  • Work towards process and system improvements to efficiently solve customer issues.
  • Prepare and process remittance transaction files securely to partner banks.
  • Ensure timely reconciliations are undertaken to avoid processing incorrect transaction data to partner banks.
  • Communicate special holidays of partner banks / corridors proactively to stores and ensure the customers are informed when initiating transactions.
  • Assist finance and compliance teams in queries related to reconciliation and transaction investigations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the customer complaints management process and closely follow up with relevant partners to resolve complaints without any delays.
  • Strictly follow escalation process to avoid delays in handling queries initiated from stores and customers.
  • Investigate and provide feedback on remittance transactions as requested by compliance, finance and reconciliation teams.
  • Process and approve refunds, amendments and cancellations within the agreed timelines.
  • Closely work with Instant money transfer partners and correspondent banks to manage operational issues and initiate service requests.
  • Support and actively engage in new products launches, assist in preparation of standard operations procedures and user manuals.
  • When required coordinate with partners and their IT teams during system integrations and installation during launch of new products and services.
  • Assist IT team in User Acceptance Tests (UAT)
  • Ensure all staff possesses necessary access to the system to create Remittance transactions at all times.
  • Manage system access for Sales Consultants to process transaction, provide necessary approvals to create, delete and move users and grant user privileges.
  • Ensure staffs at all stores are well educated about all remittance products and services we offer, provide regular products and service updates to the retail stores.
  • Provide regular training to team members on operational procedures when required.
  • Ensure record keeping of customer and transaction related documents for future reference as mandated by the regulatory and Travelex requirements.
  • Participate in coaching sessions with Team Managers and Sales Consultants around Remittances.
  • Support additional / adhoc tasks at request of Management.
